CNC Programmer 
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:  
The purpose of this position is to set-up, program and operate a variety CNC machines such as CNC OD Grinders, Mills, and Lathes,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•    Review router for part processing
•    Locate and identify materials to be processed
•    Write CNC programs to customer specifications
•    Set-up machine and gauging equipment per blueprints
•    Update and document set-up sheets as required
•    Manage workflow through the CNC work cell
•    Provide support and set-ups for other operators
•    Develop, prepare, optimize, and maintain CNC programs, part fixturing, tooling development, and set-up procedures
•    Operate CNC equipment as required between set-ups
•    Maintain or improve upon production standards
•    Perform first piece and in-process inspections or testing
•    Complete routing paperwork
•    Train or support other operators in proper machine set-up techniques  
•    Report production time accurately and timely
•    Maintain a safe and clean work area.
•    Maintain quality standards
•    Follow the safety rules
•    Perform other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT USED:
CNC Lathes, Mills, and other manual and programmable machines, CMM, comparator, micrometers, dial gages, calipers, and various machining tools (drills, taps), etc.
    
    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    
    Education:  
•    High School Diploma or equivalent education required
•    CNC Machine Operator Certification or equivalent experience required
•    Forklift Truck training and certificate preferred

    Experience:
•    2-5 years’ experience in CNC turning and/or O.D grinding
•    2-5 years’ experience in M & G code and parametric programming
•    2-5 years’ experience in CNC Lathe / Multi-axis programming, set-up and operating
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
•    Ability to operate forklift truck
•    Ability to follow written and/or verbal directions
•    Strong computer and machine programming skills
•    Attention to detail
