Job Description
Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: • Continuous review and maintenance of quality system that meets AS9100, and customer quality requirements.
• Oversees and reviews the creation of pre-production documents including PPAP’s (PFMEA, process control plan and process flow diagrams)
• First piece, in process and final inspections
• Perform and document customer and internal audits
• Communication with customer to resolve any quality issues in a timely manner
• Create and implement corrective actions
• Coach and lead other quality team members
• Work towards continuous improvement
• Oversee the acceptance of outside processes and purchased parts
• Oversee gage maintenance and calibration
Skills needed:• Fast paced without losing sight of quality
• Quality driven
• Exceptional communication skills
• 5 yrs + experience in manufacturing
• Proficient in print reading and interpretation
• Problem solving
• Familiar with purchase orders
• Experienced in use of test and measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, cmm, optical comparators and thread gages
• Familiarity with 5s and lean manufacturing
